About Drim...

It's Drim's fault, that it all started. He was bred in Slovenia, sired by Natan from Scottish Hemp vom Beutenhof - Roy, a World Junior Winner 1995, his dam is Fionamcgill from Italy, bred from working lines. We got him at the age of just over 2 months. Our inexperience and his tough character caused a lot of problems and trouble. We sought help with the "pros" and thus found into the "wonderfull world of cinology"

OBEDIENCE TRAINING

I visited a puppy class in KD Naklo with Drim in the fall of 2002.
In the spring of 2003 I decided to go on with obedience and went to KD Krim in Ljubljana, because i thought their way of work was more suitable to us. In june we successfully, with 93%, passed the ISP-B obedience exam. Drim earned his "Polite dog" badge, issued by KD Krim.
At the time of basic obedience classes we tried out some other K-9 disciplines (agility, rally-obedience,...) and some of them cought our attention.

AGILITY

We started agility pretty soon. Drim showed a lot of talent for the sport and I soon had problems telling him, that his way of running the course was a bit different from the actual course layout ;-).
Than came the fall of 2003 and our first agility trial and with it our first disqualification, that was followed by another one, etc. But we managed to finish a course eventually, winning a trial for the first time happened in Bratislava at the annual "Christmas" tournament (dec. 11.-12.2003). By the summer of 2004 we got all tickets to move up to A2.
We needed almost two years to move up into class 3 - our first start was in march 2006. Drim was one of the fastest dogs in Slovene trials, but made a lot of mistakes (dropping jumps was his speciality), we thus often finished at the end of the list or didn't finish at all.
Among the serious agility trials we found time to compete in some unofficial competitions, where Drim ran with Tomaž in the "amateour" class, but they still wait for a good result :-).
We took part in a few agility presentations across Slovenia, too. We were in Ljubljana at the trade and fair ground, we made a special first day of school for the children in Velike Lašče,...
Unfortunatelly, at the age of five and a half years I had to retire Drim from active agility in february 2008 due to his health problems. In the future, I hope, we will still be able to practice agility, allthough irregular and not to demanding, since Drim is, among all of us, the most "in love" with the sport.

HERDING

Drim was tried on sheep on a couple of occasions, but due to irregular training we have no plans for him in herding, thus Tomaž and I decided for Drim to be an "agility only" dog.

MISC

We entered Drim in three shows in his first year, but soon found out, that this isn't the "sport" for us.
In my free time I tought Drim a lot of tricks, which, if properly motivated, he shows every now and then.

FOR THE END...

Because of and with Drim we travelled all over Slovenia and over a lot of Europe and met a lot of people. We hope to have a lot of interresting and succesfull years to come.
