About me

My name is Natasa Kokol. I was born in 1974 in Ptuj, Slovenia. Igraduated from Law school at the University of Ljubljana. Beetwen years 2000-2003 I attended School of applied Arts in Ljubljana, majoring in ceramics-sculpture. I graduated in May on 200, the theme of my graduation thesis being "The Primitive ways of Clay Firing". I attended numerus workshops during my study.

About my work

To me working with clay means feeling in touch with earth, fire and water. It means uniting chaos and order. Most of my time is dedicated to the naked raku technique. The charm of the procedure is in its unprectability and uniqueness. Firing special magic, it means seizing the moment, the current moment. I wish for my work to capture the fragility and transitoriness - but timlessness, too,
