I was thinking how to create an alternative use of the package when the original purpose is no longer available (after the cleaning liquid is used up) and I came up with the following idea.

As you can see from the pictures the package has a specific symmetrical shape which is similar to the weight shape for training your muscles. Well, this shape is actually the idea about the alternative use. After the cleaning liquid is used up, refill with water, sand,...and create a weight which can be used for training arm muscles. Different sizes of packages will create different weights, so anyone can find the right weight for itself.

I also decided to abandon the classical label and replace it with something different. The "label" should be imprinted directly on the package giving it a longer "life time". In this way the alternative use of the package (the weight) could also be considered as an alternative advertisement of the product and of the brand as well.

This design participated in designboom reinvent the package design competition.

This lamp is made out of raw wooden trunks. Each produced lamp is unique as the tree trunks are. This one is made out of acacia tree but any other wood is suitable as long as its dry and homogeneous (not biologically, chemically or physically damaged).

No paint, lacquer, glue or other chemicals are used to keep the lamp as natural as possible. Touching the trunky lamp will give you a sensation that you can find only outside your house.....in nature.
